Everyone benefits from rigorous infection control;\u00a0 you, your dentist, and the dental team.\r\n\r\nWe want you to know that our entire team follow procedures recommended by several Federal agencies including:\r\n\r\nThe Occupational Safety &amp; Health Administration (OSHA)\r\n\r\nThe Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)\r\n\r\nThe Centers for Disease Control (CDC)\r\n\r\nThese measures include:\r\n\r\n\u2022 Disinfectant hand soap\r\n\r\n\u2022 Gloves, face masks, protective eyewear\r\n\r\n\u2022 Chemical disinfection of countertops and surfaces\r\n\r\n\u2022 Sterilization of all equipment before every use\r\n\r\n\u2022 Disposable materials when ever possible\r\n\r\nWe sterilize all reusable equipment, including dental hand pieces. We use an autoclave to sterilize our instruments after each use.\u00a0 An autoclave is a device that kills bacteria and viruses by steam, heat and pressure.\r\n\r\nThe best defense against disease is information. The more you know, the better equipped you are to make wise decisions about your health care.
